While every effort has been made to ensure that the information is accurate and up to date, it should not be interpreted as legal advice.

The kindergarten reserves the right to update, modify, or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time when necessary to reflect changes in policies, operational requirements, or applicable laws and regulations.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to carefully review these terms and seek independent advice if they require clarification regarding their rights and obligations under this agreement.

By enrolling a child at Joyful Kids Kindergarten, parents or legal guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the policies and conditions outlined in this document.

Terms & Conditions - The Basics

This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for enrollment and attendance at Joyful Kids Kindergarten.

 

On the first day of your childs attendance to the Kindergarten, you will be asked to sign this agreement, stating that the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.​

1. School Uniform

  • For children aged 2 years and older, the kindergarten uniform is mandatory during their attendance at the school.

  • ​The kindergarten will provide the first uniform set. Any additional uniforms will be purchased at the parent’s expense.

2. Operating Hours & Child Pick-Up

  • The kindergarten operates during the following hours:

        07:00 – 13:30

  • Extended hours are available:

    • Until 15:30 with an additional fee of €25

    • Until 17:00 with an additional fee of €35

  • Parents/guardians are required to strictly adhere to the selected schedule. Changes to the selected schedule are not permitted during the month.

  • In the event of late pick-up beyond the agreed time, a fee of €10 will be charged for every 15 minutes of delay.

3. Child Medical Records

  • Parents/guardians must provide a complete medical record for the child, including:

    • vaccination records

    • known allergies

    • medical conditions or special health requirements

  • Any changes in the child’s health condition must be immediately communicated to the kindergarten.

4. Court Orders & Parental Custody

  • In cases of separated or divorced parents, the kindergarten must be officially informed of any court orders regarding:

    • custody

    • parental responsibility

    • authorized individuals permitted to collect the child

  • The kindergarten will act only in accordance with official legal documentation.

5. Financial Obligations

  • Tuition fees must be paid within the first seven (7) days of each month.

  • No refunds will be provided in cases of absence.

6. Honesty & Zero Tolerance Policy

  • The kindergarten enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding false information relating to:

    • the child’s health

    • the child’s behavior

    • the child’s family situation

  • Additionally, the spread of false or defamatory information regarding the kindergarten staff or teachers is strictly prohibited.

7. Infant Care

  • Parents of infants must provide the necessary personal items, including:

    • diapers

    • baby wipes

    • creams

    • other personal hygiene items

  • The kindergarten follows a structured sleeping and feeding schedule for infants in cooperation with parents.

  • Parents will receive daily updates through the school application regarding:

    • feeding

    • sleep

    • daily activities

  • All diaper-changing and hygiene procedures follow strict hygiene standards.

8. Illness & Absences

  • Parents must inform the kindergarten of any illness affecting their child.

  • Children must remain at home if they have a contagious illness until they have fully recovered.

  • If a child becomes ill during the school day, the kindergarten will contact the parent for immediate pick-up.

9. Conduct & Respect Policy

  • Parents/guardians are expected to maintain respectful and appropriate communication with all kindergarten staff.

  • The kindergarten reserves the right to terminate a child’s enrollment if parents demonstrate inappropriate, offensive, or disrespectful behavior toward:

    • staff members

    • other parents

    • other families within the school community

10. Emergencies & First Aid Authorization

  • Parents must indicate in writing whether they grant or refuse permission for:

    • the administration of first aid

    • transportation of the child to a medical facility 

        in the event of an emergency.

11. Adjustment Period for New Children

  • The kindergarten implements an adjustment period for newly enrolled children.

  • During this period, attendance hours may gradually increase over the first few days to support a smooth transition into the school environment.

12. Prohibited Items

  • Children are not permitted to bring toys from home, unless special permission is granted by the kindergarten.

  • Items that may pose a choking hazard, injury risk, or safety concern are strictly prohibited.

13. Right to Terminate Enrollment

  • The kindergarten reserves the right to terminate a child’s enrollment in cases of:

    • continuous failure to comply with school rules and policies

    • aggressive or dangerous behavior that threatens the safety of other children or staff

    • inappropriate behavior or disrespectful communication from parents toward staff

14. GDPR & Personal Data Protection

  • Parents may grant or refuse consent for photographs or videos of their child to be used on:

    • social media platforms

    • the kindergarten website

    • promotional or informational materials

  • All personal data relating to children and parents will be processed and protected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
